What we expect from you / Your challenge:

 

As a Supply Chain Operate Team Lead, the main tasks are:

  • Assume the role of the central point of contact for customers and supply chain partners (e.g. transport service providers, suppliers) 
  • Be responsible for (sub-)projects, leadership and control of (international) teams 
  • Oversight supply chain control tower overall process control, stabilization of processes, initiation and control of emergency management, information distribution, data measurement and –Cleanup
  • Implementation of regular procedures to operate the Supply Chain (e.g. execution of data analyses, discussions with suppliers)
  • Framework development to improve partner management (continuous improvement of the overall system, workshop preparation, implementation and follow-up)
  • Empowerment and training of supply chain partners for the use of the Supply Chain Control Tower (create/further develop training documents and conduct training)
  • Monitoring the quality of work with the partners to achieve the desired performance (target values)
  • Identification of measures to increase data and process quality within the framework of partner management of suppliers and transport service providers
  • Empowerment of suppliers (depending on Web EDI or direct EDI solution) and connection to the existing Supply Chain Control Tower portal
  • Optimization and further development of processes and measuring instruments

Desired Skills and Experience / Your profile:

 

We are looking for candidates with following qualifications:

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering or Business Administration or Logistics
  • Alternatively, a successfully completed training in logistics services or comparable training
  • Approx. 5-7 years of practical experience in the field of logistics and transport management ideally, e.g. in the forwarding environment, material control, transport planning
  • Experience in dealing with logistics systems (e.g warehouse management, scheduling, transport management)
  • Problem-solving competence for the further development of existing transport and logistics processes
  • Strong communication skills internally as well as with external suppliers and freight forwarders
  • High degree of reliability and ability to work in a team as Team Leader
  • Willingness to perform and self-confident appearance
  • Assumption of responsibility for (partial) projects
  • Fluent in English
  • Safe handling of MS Office and transport management systems
  • Enjoy working with data and IT systems
