Job Summary:

The Network Operations consultants plays a crucial role in the management and maintenance of the network infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, security, and performance. They are responsible for resolve complex issues while actively optimizing the overall network infrastructure. Proactively drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the strategic evolution of the network ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshooting Incidents: Systematically identifying, analyzing, and resolving intricate issues within a network infrastructure to restore optimal functionality. It requires advanced knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and software, as well as a methodical approach to isolate problems, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions. Successful troubleshooting in complex scenarios often involves collaboration, critical thinking, and leveraging advanced diagnostic tools to ensure rapid and accurate problem resolution.
• Incident Response: Detect and respond to network incidents, such as failures, performance degradation, and security breaches, in a timely manner. Diagnose and resolve network issues promptly.
• Network Security: Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, malware, and other security threats. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Configuration Management: Maintain and update network configurations, including IP addresses, subnets, routing tables, and firewall rules. Ensure that network devices are configured correctly and securely.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze network traffic patterns and performance metrics to identify areas for optimization. Implement improvements to enhance network efficiency.
• Documentation: Create and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures. Ensure that documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
• Patch Management: Apply firmware and software updates to network devices and systems to address security vulnerabilities and improve network stability.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other teams, including system administrators, cybersecurity experts, and application developers, to address cross-functional network issues.
• Emergency Response: Be available for on-call service to respond to network emergencies outside regular working hours, if necessary.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+) may be preferred.
• More than 2 years of experience in network operations or a related area.
• Expert knowledge of network protocols, technologies, and concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, and subnetting.
• Familiarity with network security best practices, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs.
• Ability to analyze network traffic patterns and performance data to identify issues and make data-driven recommendations.
•  Proficiency in network troubleshooting and implementing solutions.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications from organizations like Cisco, CompTIA, or Juniper Networks may be an advantage.
•  Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python) and automation tools may be advantageous for streamlining network tasks.
